Ibanda Isaac started this school by faith to serve the neediest students in his area.  The school has 500 students, and many who need a place to sleep, sleep at the school.  Good Friends Junior School is truly a miracle of God.

In the last 2 years we have built two 20x20 classrooms, a 20x40 meeting hall and latrines.  We have also provided solar lights, Bibles, A House, A Car, Sporting Equipment, Food and a Laptop.  In the last year the school has really taken shape.

Isaac Ibanda has a beautiful family.  His wife Rose is a teacher and just gave birth to their daughter Racheal.  They also have other kids they have adopted.  We are supporting their family by providing a house & reliable transportation.

Many of the 500 students are orphans or live very far away so they actually live at the school.  The average age of the students is 10 years old.  The students used to meet under a tree for class, or in this shed, but now they have 3 new classrooms.  

The most pressing need was water.  Students had walked a mile to get water for hygiene, cooking and drinking.  They did this 2-3 times a day, and the water quality is not always good which causes health issues.  So, we raised funds to build a water well.

Bill Scott loved Good Friends Junior School.  He was a huge supporter of the school.  In fact, before he passed he wrote a check to build a classroom which now bears his name.  Bill's memory lives on in the lives of these students.
